SOPHIE GLUCK

 

Sophie Gluck was born and raised in Paris, France, where she graduated from the Sorbonne with a degree in American and English literature. She came to New York to study at New York University, where she received a Masters Degree in Cinema Studies.

 

Since starting Sophie Gluck PR, Sophie has worked on over 300 theatrical release campaigns of films from Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle-East and the US.

 

Prior to 2000, Ms. Gluck was a partner in the film publicity agency Wang and Gluck together with co-partner Norman Wang, where for 10 years they represented many award-winning films from all over the world, including Wong Kar Wai's Chungking Express and Happy Together, Chen Kaige's Farewell, My Concubine, Zhang Yimou's Ju Dou, Raise the Red Lantern, To Live, Shanghai Triad, The Story of Qiu Jiu, Ang Lee's The Wedding Banquet and Eat, Drink, Man, Woman, Abbas Kiarostami's The Taste of Cherry, Through the Olive Strees, and The Wind Will Carry Us, Edward Yang's Yiyi, and many others.

 

Sophie started her career working for renowned film publicist Renee Furst.

 

She is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Public Relations branch) and lives in New York City.
